Founded in 1913, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is one of the nation’s premier civil rights/human relations agencies, fighting anti-Semitism, prejudice and bigotry, defending democratic ideals and safeguarding civil rights for all. The ADL's Pacific Northwest Region serves five states: Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Montana and Washington. The ADL continues to be the leader in tracking and monitoring violent extremists activities and the individuals and groups that are involved in these actions. The ADL develops materials, programs and services that build bridges of communication, understanding and respect among diverse racial, religious and ethnic groups. In a changing world, the ADL's mission remains unchanged: "to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment for all people alike."
