The Mittleman Jewish Community Center is dedicated to the enrichment of Jewish life by providing for the educational, recreational, social and cultural needs of families in the greater Portland Jewish community. Our programs include B’nai B’rith Camp (a residential camp at the Oregon coast), summer day camp at the Center and B’nai B’rith Youth Organization (BBYO) for teens. In addition, the MJCC has active programs in gymnastics, basketball, swim lessons, and soccer and other athletic programs for all ages, as well as birthday parties and other family celebrations that make use of all our facilities. In addition, our community gathers at the MJCC for cultural programs and celebrations such as National Jewish Book Month and Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israel Independence Day). MJCC facilities include a gymnasium, Sportsplex, meeting rooms, fitness and cardio center, swimming pool, warm-water therapy pool and more.

Together with our building partner, Portland Jewish Academy, the MJCC serves more than 500 children and their families every day. The MJCC holds monthly Family Fun Shabbat celebrations, which are open to all families and feature a kosher dinner and Shabbat celebration in addition to many activities for children and families.
