Jewish Family & Child Service has served the greater Portland metropolitan area (including Southwest Washington) since 1947. JFCS provides the following services:
- Professional counseling to individuals, couples, groups and families
- Homemaker services enabling people who are ill, convalescing or disabled to remain in their own homes
- Assessment, planning and case management services for elders in addition to others needing these services
- Resettlement and follow-up services for refugees and Russian speakers (including senior and mental health case management)
- Emergency assistance for persons temporarily unable to provide for themselves
- Community integration services for Jewish people with special needs and their families through TASK (Treasuring, Accepting and Supporting Kehilla)
- Community education programs focusing on topics such as family life, personal growth, coping skills and mental health
- Consultation to other community organizations
