From Congregation Shaarie Torah

Congregation Shaarie Torah gives a big Mazel Tov to Jeff and Caren Cohen who are happy to announce the wedding of their son, Dr. Michael Cohen, to Ewa Slodownik, daughter of Joanna and Bogdan Slodownik.  The couple was married on February 11th, 2012, in Montville, NJ, and will be residing in West Orange, NJ.  Michael is a doctor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and Ewa is a Speech Pathologist working in early intervention for the State of New Jersey.

Mazel Tov to Joel & Hilarie Wasserman on the birth of their granddaughter, Arabella Marie, on Feb. 13, 2012, to son & daughter-in-law Ryan & Jenna Wasserman of Seattle.

Arabella is their first child and weighed in at 6lbs. 8oz. Her other grandparents are Bob and Chris Gaspar of Mattapoisett, Massachusetts. Delighted great-grandmother is Sophie Izyk of New Bedford, Massachusetts.

Condolences to Mitch Cogen & Jeff Cogen on the passing of their father, Dr. Stephen Cogen, on Feb. 14th in Florida.


Condolences to Gail Semler and Michael Jaffe on the passing of their beloved father, Nathaniel Jaffe on Feb. 22nd.

 

Condolences to Marina Braun on the passing of her beloved mother, Evgenia Bakutina, on Feb. 22nd. 

 

Condolences to Gerald Cogan, Arnold & Elaine Cogan, and Carol Cogan Koranda on the passing of their beloved brother, Edward Cogan, on Feb. 22nd in Haifa, Israel. Edward is also survived by his wife, Rose Adele (Mozorosky) Cogan, and sisters Ruth Finnerty of Oakland, California, and Judy Ross of Los Angeles, California. Gerald, Arnold, and Elaine Cogan have all served as synagogue presidents at Neveh Shalom.  

 

Condolences to Marianne Braunstein on the passing of her beloved mother in California.

 

Condolences to Irma Keller, Julie Keller Gotlieb, and Linda Jessel on the passing of their beloved husband and father, Harvey Keller (z"l). The funeral was held Friday, March 23rd.
