Find out how you can brighten the Holidays for people in need

JFCS is partnering with the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland and 13 other community organizations to support families in need this holiday season.

  • The Thanksgiving Food Box campaign will provide 150 households with the ingredients for a delicious and nutritious dinner including turkey and all the trimmings.
  • Mitzvah Menorah/The Adopt-a-Family campaign will brighten the Hanukkah or Christmas holiday for 50 individuals or families by providing things they need such as household items, clothing, and toys for young children.
To help these vital projects, you can:
  • Provide cash or food donations
  • Adopt a family and provide gifts to those who would not otherwise have them at this time of year.
  • Volunteer on Nov 22 to assemble and deliver the Thanksgiving Boxes
  • Come out on Dec 6 to wrap gifts and organize donations for the Mitzah Menorah/Adopt-a-Family campaign...
