First Monthly Meeting of New Group, Merchav

“From the narrow places, I called out to Hashem, and Hashem answered with expansiveness.”
-Psalm 118:6

Merchav (“expansiveness” or “wide-open space” in Hebrew) is a new monthly group for adults to discuss inclusion, different abilities, and special needs. Close-reading of Jewish texts will be our starting point. We aim to become more aware of the narrow places in our Jewish worlds, and to envision ways to broaden access to Jewish community.

Our first meeting will be August 20, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, hosted by Havurah Shalom but open to all. For further info and to be put on the mailing list, write to
