For Congregation Neveh Shalom, summer is in full swing! There are multiple opportunities for people to get together.  Check out the list below for some of our exciting happenings:

Habitat For Humanity Build
Sunday, August 7, 10:00am – 4:00pm

No Building Skills Required…they’ll show you how to do it!
Join Volunteers From Neveh Shalom and Bilal Mosque 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a great opportunity to do a Good Deed for our community. If you have volunteered before you know this event offers a great feeling that makes a real difference in a family’s life and gives something very important back to the community. If you have never volunteered before it is fun to work with other members of the Congregation and Habitat will teach you any skills you need to help out at the work site. To sign up, contact Michael Titelbaum or Steve Sirkin

Shabbat in the Park WESTSIDE with Rabbi David Kosak!
Friday, August 12, 5:30pm at Raleigh Park and Swim Center

Join Rabbi David Kosak for a Westside Shabbat in the Park.  5:30 BYO picnic; 6:15 Kabbalat Shabbat. Bring blankets or low lawn chairs. Suitable for all ages!  After the service join us for Kiddush, challah and ice cream. More information here.

Join the fun and get messy! Children ages 0-5 must be accompanied by an adult.

Wondering Jews Day Trip to the Dahlia Festival
Monday, August 29 , 10:30am-2:30pm  
Join us on a bus trip to Swan Island Dahlia farms, in Canby, OR. Over 400 floral arrangements on display, and over 30 acres of dahlias in full bloom. Food booths, wine tasting and refreshments available. $8-18 for transportation and tour company. $36 non-members. Bring a bag lunch or cash for food. RSVP by 8/8 to Jennifer Greenberg; 503-293-7313.
