Making Prayer Real: How to (Truly) Open the Prayerbook. November 2nd
Join us for the first Making Prayer Real class! For some of us, whether we grew up around Jewish prayer or not, the typical service can seem foreign, even forbidding, and the prayerbook difficult. In these two separate three-session classes, Rabbi Rose will give you tools to get more comfortable with Jewish prayer and make it more meaningful. We will look at the beauty and importance of the structure of the prayer service, discuss how to get beyond the literal meaning of the prayers and talk about how to personalize the prayer experience. You’ll walk away with a greater understanding of the siddur (prayerbook) and with tools to enrich your own tefillah (prayer).
Session 1: November 2, 16, 23
Session 2: January 18, 25, and February 8
All classes are from 10:00 am to 11:30 am
