Melton Adult Jewish Learning Relaunches... Classes Open!

I am so excited to introduce myself and the relaunched Melton to the Portland community. I am thrilled to be coordinating Melton on behalf of the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland!

I am even more excited to announce that registration is now live for the 2014-15 Melton school year!

REGISTER today
We are offering the core Melton program:

Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:45 am at Congregation Neveh Shalom
•    Purposes of Jewish Living
•    Rhythms of Jewish Living

Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:45 pm at Congregation Shaarie Torah
•    Ethics of Jewish Living
•    Dramas of Jewish Living

Additionally, we will be offering two Melton Scholars classes. As a reminder, you do not need to have taken any prior Melton courses to attend the Scholars classes.

Our fall term includes:

Jewish Denominations: Addressing the Challenges of Modernity
with Rabbi Stampfer
This class will be taught twice a week at Congregation Neveh Shalom:
•    Mondays 2:00-3:15 PM
•    Thursdays 10:30-11:45 AM

Israeli Literature as a Window to Israeli Society
with Dr. Sylvia Frankel
•    Thursday 7:00-8:15 PM at Congregation Shir Tikvah
