PJ Library is a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, locally in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland. Its goal is to support the Jewish journeys of families raising young children through access to high-quality Jewish children's books and music, along with parenting resources. On January 30th, Harold Grinspoon and PJ Library National Director Marcie Greenfield Simons delivered the 5,000,000th PJ Library book! That's right...5 MILLIONTH!

“The idea behind PJ Library is to bring children and their parents together to share a great story that leads to conversation about Jewish values and culture,” Grinspoon says. “We are aiming to keep the Jewish heritage alive and strong for the next generation and generations to come.” He adds, “It is an honor and a privilege to deliver the 5 millionth book, and I look forward to sharing millions more of our high-quality books with Jewish children for years to come.”
PJ Library has reached thousands of children and their families in the greater Portland area with free books, music and programs. This is the time of unprecedented growth and success.
