Cedar Sinai Park is pleased to announce that Sandra C. Simon has been hired as its new Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Simon is currently employed at the Jewish Home of San Francisco, as its Chief Administrative Officer. She has extensive experience in the field of elder services and holds both an MBA (CSU, San Marcos) and a nursing home administrator’s license.
In her current position, Sandra is responsible for a 478 bed skilled nursing hospital and a 13 bed geriatric acute psychiatric hospital. She has managed adult day centers and a variety of other facilities and programs serving elders. Sandra’s work involves the oversight of a large and complex budget and a diverse staff. At Cedar Sinai Park, she will have management responsibilities for all programs and services.
Cedar Sinai Park provides services through a number of facilities and programs. These include: a nursing home, the Robison Jewish Health Center; an assisted living facility, the Rose Schnitzer Manor; CSP Adult Day Services; Sinai Family Home Services; special-needs housing for developmentally disabled adults, Kehillah Housing; and four affordable housing apartment buildings in downtown Portland, the Rose Schnitzer Tower, the 1200 building, the Park Tower, and the Lexington.
“Ms. Simon’s achievements in management and leadership, her financial skills, and her capacity to understand both service and organizational complexity will make her a unique asset to our growing organization,” said Lance Steinberg, President-elect of the Cedar Sinai Park Board of Directors.

Sandra was born in Portland but spent much of her life in California. She will be joining the staff of Cedar Sinai Park on July 14, 2014.
