Last night, I had the pleasure or participating in our community’s 19th annual Intergroup Passover Seder. This event, generously funded by the Emily Georges Gottfried Fund, the Jewish Federation, and the Oregon Jewish Community Youth Foundation, is one of the highlights of the year.
As you read this I am on a plane flying back from a wonderful four day trip to Israel. I was here with community leaders, Priscilla and Tony Kostiner, Kathy Davis-Weiner and Michael Weiner, and my colleague Caron Blau Rothstein on an “inspection trip.”
Earlier this week, someone sent me a very fun, cute, and short video (please watch), created by two Portlanders (and BB Camp alumnae). It is a video about a group of seniors in Palm Desert who celebrate Shabbat at a local Wendy’s restaurant. Yep – Wendy’s the hamburger place.
This has been quite a positive week for me. I haven’t written a “week in the life” email in quite some time, but thought I would share about the past five days.
