Mayyim Hayyim is seeking a creative, dynamic intern who will support the Rising Tide Open Waters Mikveh Network, a growing network of community mikva’ot around the world. The Rising Tide Intern will cultivate community-to-community collaboration and support initiatives that advance the network’s mission, build on the early success of Rising Tide, and help the network mature into a robust, thriving community of members with a high level of engagement and cross-pollination.
Position Responsibilitiesmay include:
Member communication: Spearhead monthly “Member Spotlights” in e-newsletter by interviewing leaders ofmember mikva’ot, collecting photos/videos, and drafting blogs about members.
Event planning: Support with virtual event logistics and coordination, sponsorship, promotion, technology management, speaker communication, and platform development for the2023Rising Tide Gathering.
Survey administration: Support participation in a member-wide survey to gather data and feedback from the global open mikveh movement; organize data to support our team in harvesting learnings and next steps.
Other areas, dependent on intern learning goals: Graphic design, social media, website enhancement, program administration, fundraising
Background, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong written communication skills: ability to write clear and succinct language
Comfort with remote work. Highly organized and able to manage multiple active projects simultaneously. Punctual with deadlines and able to self-manage workflow tasks and timelines
Flexibility to shift between working independently and collaborating with a remote team
Quick learner of platforms like Zoom, Google Site and Maps, Canvas Instruction, Salesforce, Gather.Town, etc.
Interest in ritual, Jewish communal life and learning, and/or mikveh

Schedule & Compensation
This is a part-time, remote internship position for the 2022 Fall semester and 2023 Spring semester (September1–May31). Opportunity for renewal into the Spring semester will be assessed in November 2022.
The weekly intern schedule is flexible based on your availability, between 15-20 hours/week, including team meetings and weekly supervisory meetings over Zoom. At least 10+hours of work time must take place between 9am –5pm ET. Mayyim Hayyim is closed on Jewish holidays, including Shabbat.
*Compensation is $1,250 -$1,500 persemester(Fallsemester: September –December and Spring semester: January –May) for a total stipend of $2,500 -$3,000.Renewal for Spring semester will be evaluated and confirmed in November. The intern will be supported through one-on-one and group training and professional development, a responsive supervisory relationship with the Director of Rising Tide, professional networking, and opportunities for further Jewish learning.
