Now in its 8^th year, this popular service combines the voices of the NW Community Gospel Choir with Beth Israel’s choir in a moving tribute to the slain Civil Rights leader and the bond between Portland’s Black and Jewish communities. Special guest speaker will be Georgia Congressman John Lewis, one of the Big Six from the Civil Rights Movement and architect of and a keynote speaker at the historic March on Washington in August 1963. Free and open to the community.
