Seven Magic Words in the Torah is a new series of adult education classes at P’nai Or, taught by Melissa Carpenter from 2:00 to 3:30 every third Sunday of the month. Melissa is a certified maggidah, and provides weekly biblical Hebrew translation and commentary in her blog at www.mtorah.com.

This first month the “magic” word is brachah, often translated as “blessing”. What does it really mean?

Drop-ins are welcome, but advance registration is encouraged so we have enough materials. Free to members, $10 per class for nonmembers.
