Art, Heart, and Soul: "Stained Glass" Chagall Windows

In this two-part workshop, students will learn about Marc Chagall’s Jerusalem stained-glass windows inspired by the 12 tribes, and recreate their own miniature versions using shrinky dinks, paint pens, and colored pencils. These pieces will be turned into mobiles that participants will take home by the end of the second class.
 

Class 1: We will work on our “stained-glass” pieces - drawing and sketching out Chagall-inspired designs on shrinky dink sheets.

Class 2: Students will work with their shrunken (by instructor) pieces, and spend the rest of class affixing their pieces to their mobile(branch) using wire and beads.
 

*Students are encouraged to bring any beads or charms from home that they would like to include in their mobile.
