The Jewish Federation of Greater Portland and the Mittleman Jewish Community Center invite you to join us on May 14th from 7 pm to 9 pm for Project Heroes (also known by its Hebrew title, Giborim) - a multifaceted cultural initiative by Israeli musician and storyteller Gilad Segev. 

The project is a deeply personal journey for Segev, sparked by the loss of his brother, Gal, a fallen soldier. Segev set out to transform grief into a celebration of life by documenting the stories of "heroes", individuals who have shown extraordinary courage, resilience, or creativity in Jewish communities across the globe. Each story is paired with an original song composed by Segev. He views music as the universal language that connects these disparate geographic experiences. 

Project Heroes is a tribute to human resilience, aimed at fostering a sense of unity and hope by highlighting the quiet, impactful stories that often go unheard in the noise of global headlines. Tickets are $15 per individual and $25 per family.
