Join panelists Dinah Gilburd, LCSW from Jewish Family and Child Services, Dr. Allan Cordova from the Children's Program, Mel Berwin, Director of Congregational Learning at Congregation Neveh Shalom and Rabbi Barry Cohen, Community Chaplain to learn tips and strategies for coping right now.

Allan will provide a brief overview of key issues in understanding and supporting optimal mental health in middle and high school age students. Dinah will focus on childhood behaviors during the pandemic, and how families can create a safe and nurturing environment. Rabbi Barry Cohen will share how each and every one of us is created in the image of God and deserves compassion, dignity, encouragement, inspiration and love. Speaking from her experience as a parent, Mel Berwin will touch on depression/anxiety as they relate to other disabilities, and provide a few specific tools that have helped her family talk together when her kids are struggling.

This is not a session meant to provide diagnosis but rather a place for families to come together and create community.
