Gesher's Rosh Hashanah Seder

Gesher’s Evening Rosh HaShanah Seder - at Gesher, at 6:00 pm September 20.

Join Rabbi Laurie Rutenberg and Rabbi Gary Schoenberg at their home, in the forest, for the spiritual opportunity offered by a delicious Rosh Hashanah Seder. Highlighted by symbolic foods that Jews around the globe have used through the ages, we will dine and envision together a good new year for ourselves and our world.

Gesher’s Rosh Hashanah celebration is designed especially for disenchanted and/or unaffiliated Jews, who may be more used to being Jewish in hiding (or more precisely, being hidden from Jewish offerings of spiritual opportunity) than celebrating Jewishly.  With a careful attempt to provide you an alternative to walking into services and feeling overwhelmed and estranged, Rabbi Laurie and Rabbi Gary offer an opportunity to enter into the New Year with an openness of the heart and a sacred and a beautiful forest space in which to share this.

Weather permitting, we will celebrate outdoors. Please come dressed for the weather. RSVP is NECESSARY. We only have space for 45 people.

The Seder is vegetarian. Please let us know if you would like to bring a special dish to share.

Contribution requested: Adults -$36; Children 10 and over - $10.
No one is turned away for inability to contribute.

Gesher is located at 10701 SW 25th Ave. in Portland. More info, RSVP and contributions at www.ourjewishhome.org or 503 246-5070.
