Mike Mace will discuss the different species of wood used to make acoustic and electric guitars. Each species has characteristics that make them uniquely suited for use in a guitar. Mike will show species sourced from the Pacific Northwest and around the world, and will demonstrate the different tonal qualities of each species.

Mike Mace is the General Manager of GuitarWoodExperts.com, a division of North American Wood Products. North American Wood Products been selling “tone wood” to major instrument manufacturers for over 25 years.  It was one of the first companies in the U.S. to be Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified.  Mike helped create GuitarWoodExperts.com so the small guitar builder would have access to high-quality music wood at an affordable price.
