This is a three-class series that focuses on how we can leverage joy and insight to cope with the current crisis and beyond. Rabbi Rose will draw on Jewish teaching and meditative techniques for this series informed by the resiliency framework of local trauma professional Corey S. Pressman.

After this class, you will:

  • Understand the significance of hope.know how stress and trauma affect the body 

  • gain specific physical and Jewish spiritual practices for managing the stress.

  • identify the sources and vitality in your life 

  • explore the mitzvah of joy and how this creates lasting resilience

  • create a sustainable self-care plan that folds all of the above into your daily experience.

Corey S. Pressman, MA, CCFP, CTP is a local writer, teacher, and trauma-informed coach. He is Director of the Lifefinding Program at the Wayfinding Academy and faculty at the University of Portland School of Nursing, where he is co-chair of the Initiative for Vital Practice.
