Jewish Fantasy: A Symposium (5th Annual Levy Event)

9:00AM - 12:00PM

Contact Natan Meir

A two-day scholarly symposium on Jewish fantasy, with a focus on modern fantasy literature and how it engages Jewish history, Jewish religion, and Jewish writers and readers.

A small group of scholars will spend two days in round-table conversation presenting their scholarship and working collaboratively toward a set of definitions of Jewish fantasy and an agenda for further research and scholarship. This will be in conjunction with an “Everyone Reads”-type program: a community-wide invitation to read a selected work of fantasy and attend a guided discussion of the book to be held on the second day of the symposium.
