Gain a deep understanding and appreciation for the story of the Jews of Rhodes that led to a major Sephardic diaspora community, including what is now the only Sephardic synagogue in Oregon, your very own Congregation Ahavath Achim.
The Longest Journey (2013) is the story of the Jews of Rhodes, Greece, from their arrival in bibical times to the deportation of community by the Nazis in 1944. This film introduces you to the geography, the climate, commerce, Jewish culture and traditions of the people and first-hand testimony of the community survivors. A compelling historical documentary.
