In the heat of summer here in the northern hemisphere, our Jewish tradition invites us to explore our more difficult emotions. The 17th of Tamuz (a holiday that falls on July 16) kicks off a 3 week period of mourning that culminates on the 9th of Av (August 6). This exploration of pain and loss feels relevant in light of the pandemic and current events. Yoga practice provides an opportunity to be present with difficult emotions as they arise, whether the pain is personal or collective. Join together with others in the community to lovingly be present with yourself and explore grief in your body. This is an all-levels, gentle hatha yoga class taught by Amanda Davidowitz of Inspired Heart Wellness (www.inspiredheartwellness.com/yoga). If you are comfortable writing on Shabbat please bring a notebook and pen to class; there will be dedicated time for journaling and reflection.

Suggested fee of $8-18 for this community yoga class. Cost will never be a barrier to attendance; please only offer what is appropriate for you. You may pay via Venmo @Amanda-Davidowitz / inspiredheartwellness@gmail.com, PayPal (paypal.me/inspiredheartwell), or cash at the studio.
