Tilikum-Sellwood Sunday Parkways (8 mile ride)

End the Sunday Parkways season big by exploring the new Tilikum Crossing Bridge of the People and the Sellwood area. This new route will include the Tilikum Crossing and circle the Sellwood area introducing participants to the Westmoreland, Sellwood Parks plus Brooklyn School Park where music, food, and fun are waiting. CNS is inaugurating this new route by transforming our booth into a Sukkah (booth or temporary dwelling). We’re using Parkways to draw attention to the ancient harvest festival and educate the public about helping meet the needs of our Portland community.

The harvest festival of Sukkot is an eight day holiday which begins at sundown on Sunday, September 27th.

“Living in a temporary dwelling raises our awareness of those who live in temporary structures in our local community and communities around us all year long,” Rabbi Eve Posen.
