Join the two synagogues he founded, P’nai Or of Portland and Havurah Shir Hadash, for an “Israeli-Style” Kabbalat Shabbat dedicated to the memory of Reb Aryeh this Friday, December 25, at 5:00 PM. (Note the early start time!) The service will be led by Rabbi David Zaslow of Havurah Shir Hadash, Hazzan Baruch Morris of P'nai Or of Portland, and many more.

“Israeli Style” means that we will do Kabbalat Shabbat BEFORE dinner, hence the early start. “Israeli Style” means that we will sing our way through all of the Kabbalat Shabbat psalms and piyutim (hymns), honor Reb Aryeh’s memory with some special offerings, and still be done with services in about 90 minutes.
