Sephardic Winter Film Festival - Opening Night
OPENING NIGHT RECEPTION WITH SEPHARDIC FOOD & WINE

Movie: FLORY’S FLAME. This feature film weaves the life story of 90-year old Sephardic US National Heritage Fellow musician Flory Jagoda with her 2013 Celebration Concert at the US Library of Congress.  Raised in a musical household in Bosnia, her family roots go back centuries before the Jewish expulsion from Spain in 1492.  As the sole surviving family member after World II, Flory’s mission has been to continue her family’s legacy through her music.  Her strength of spirit shine through her challenging but ultimately triumphant story.  A truly heart-warming and touching film.

English language, 58 minutes, Producer Jemglo Productions.   Discussion and FREE dessert following the film.  Discussion leader:  Cantor Bitton, Cong. Neveh Shalom

$8 per person including food and drink. Reception start time 6:30PM
Film viewing continues to be FREE to the public and starts at 7:00PM
