According to our sacred tradition, the holy letters of the aleph-bet were used to bring the world into being. Through stories and teachings from Kabbalah (ancient mystical interpretations of Torah) and Midrash (ancient commentaries on the Torah), we will explore how these letters infuse our Torah and liturgy with deep, rich meaning. Please join us on this journey to delve into the inner meanings of each individual letter that make up the words of our sacred writings.

No prior knowledge of Hebrew is needed to take this class.

This class is free for P’nai Or members. For nonmembers, the cost is $90 for the series (6 classes) or $18 for any individual class.

Class dates are 11/19, 12/17, 1/21, 3/18, 4/22, and 5/20. (No class in February.) All of these are Thursdays, 4:30-5:45 pm.

NOTE: Each session of the class will be recorded, and the recordings will be available to registrants. If you cannot make one or more of the dates, you can still register and receive the recordings.
