With Gratitude - November 27, 2020

I hope you and your family enjoyed your Thanksgiving. The limitations due to the pandemic certainly made things more challenging and just plain different. But this is a time to be thankful for what we have.

As Jews, we begin each day with prayers of gratitude. The first words we say each morning are Modeh Ani, “I give thanks.”

I give thanks for the many blessings in my life. I am also grateful to everyone who financially supports and volunteers time for our Jewish community. We rely on you during the good times and such times of crisis.

As many of us go about our holiday shopping plans with store sales and specials, let us not lose sight of those most vulnerable. They need you. They need our Jewish community. Together, as we always do, we will respond thoughtfully and generously.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend and think not only about yourself, but those around us.

Shabbat shalom.
