We are saddened to share the passing of Izrail Semenovich Dekhtyar, z"l, who died at the age of 101 on Saturday, June 13. Izrail was preceded in death by his wife, Sarra Dekhtyar z"l, and his parents, Shlomo and Ita Dekhtyar, z"l. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his children, Rimma (Mikhail) Golberg, and Grigory Dekhtyar. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Yana Golberg and Aleksandr Golberg; and his great-grandchildren: Stanley Smirnoff, Beyla Smirnoff, and Samantha Golberg.

The funeral was held Tuesday, June 16, at Ahavai Shalom Cemetery.
