Congregation Beth Israel mourns the loss of Joel Krane, z”l, who passed away on Nov. 8, 2025, at the age of 98.

Joel is survived by his wife of 72 years, Sue Krane, his daughters Allison O'Connor (David), Barbara Krane, and Cheryl Krane; his grandchildren, grandchildren-in-law, and great-grandchildren Mac Brown, Alexander Cohan, Emma Cohan, Greg Cohan, Jessie Cohan, Tasha Cohan, Avery Cohan-Brown, Hazel Cohan-Brown, Indigo Dixon, McKenna Dixon, AJ Krane, James Krane, Spencer Krane, Tierra Krane, Hershel Le Boff, Jared Le Boff, Olivia O'Connor, Greg Rosen, and Lucy Rosen-Krane; his sister-in-law Maxine Coplin, his nephews Jeff Coplin and Jeff Weinstein, and niece Linda Weinstein. Joel was preceded in death by his sisters Charlene Weinstein, z”l, and Marilyn Hasson, z”l.

A funeral was held Monday, Nov. 10 at Beth Israel Cemetery.
