On Tuesday, May 26 and Wednesday, May 27 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM join Rabbi Sue Morningstar to learn about the Book of Ruth. Did you know that our tradition has a compassion manual? It is called the Book of Ruth, and is traditionally read on Shavuot, the holiday that falls on the evening of May 28th this year. In only 85 verses, the story tells of two destitute, homeless widows, who take charge and transform their lives using compassion, humility, intuition and devotion as their instruments of change. Through their actions, the progenitor of the messiah is conceived. Come study with us on Tuesday May 26th and Wednesday May 27th at noon. Tuesday we will read the text together, Wednesday we will go deeper and explore why this story holds special relevance to us today. Contact Ayala at ayala@ashlandhavurah.org for the Zoom log in info or watch via live streaming on the Havurah Synagogue's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/HavurahSynagogue/.
