Boy Scouts Troop 739 Day Camp: "Scouting with a Jewish Twist!"
Dates: June 21-26
Cost: $100
Location: Portland Kollel and Gabriel Park
For boys entering grades 6-10 (entering after the summer); especially suitable for middle schoolers. This camp is intended for boys who are interested in "Scouting with a Jewish twist." Campers must also register as Boy Scouts with the Cascade Pacific Council of Boy Scouts of America.
The camp will be led by Eagle Scout Rabbi Dov Chastain; Eric Kornblit, the Troop 739 Scoutmaster; and other volunteers with scouting experience.
The Troop camp will focus on:
• Traditional Boy Scouts skills (e.g., first aid, camping, hiking, cooking, knots, etc.)
• Achieving a rank of at least Scout or Tenderfoot (the first two ranks in Boy Scouts)
• Working toward at least one Merit Badge
• Jewish content
• One overnight camping trip possible
• Day trip(s) possible
