She will help parents understand why letting kids make mistakes and face challenges can be key to their success, and also what can make it easier for parents to support their tweens and teens by stepping out of the way just enough—but not too much.

Rabbi Tamara Cohen, Chief of Program and Strategy at Moving Traditions, and a 2023 recipient of the Covenant Award for Excellence in Jewish Education, is the creator of Raising Up Teens through Jewish Wisdom, a pilot program funded by UJA-Federation of New York to support and engage the parents of Jewish tweens and teens through community building, learning and real talk. Rabbi Cohen enjoys facilitating discussion among parents and has shared her wise down to earth wisdom through teaching and writing articles like "Big-Mouth Bar Mitzvah" and "I Don’t Want My Son to Listen to Kanye but I want him to Decide that Himself" for Lilith Magazine and Kveller.
