Join OJMCHE For Our Fall Symposium, a film screening of the 2014 Israeli film called HATE followed by a conversation with the director and other guest speakers.

This program features special guest Nadav Eyal, acclaimed Israeli journalist and director of HATE, a mesmerizing documentary concerning the resurgence of antisemitism in Europe. A screening of HATE will be followed by a Q&A with the director and a panel discussion focused on historical and current hatred both abroad and in the United States. Panelists will share ways they've come to understand and to respond proactively to recent acts of terrorism. The event takes place the day before the 77th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the massive Nazi government pogrom against European Jews in 1938.

Speakers include: Nadav Eyal, film director and Israel's Channel 10's Chief Editor of International News; Erious Johnson Jr., Civil Rights Director, Oregon Department of Justice; Natan Meir, Lorry I. Lokey Chair in Judaic Studies at PSU and others.

Confronting Extremism: The State of Hate Today is a program offered by Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education in partnership with ZeitgeistNW and other community sponsors.
