Queer-bent Chanukah Party at the Eastside Jewish Commons!
Let's party on down for the 7th night of Chanukah! Havdalah! Chanukah Candle lighting! The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming, a community dance presentation, and then Chanukah dance party! December 24th was never this fun!
What else could there be to do on December 24th but celebrate the miracle of Chanukah with your community at the EJC? Bring your hanukiah's and candles for a community candle lighting led by Rabbi Ariel Stone and stay for her annual reading of the Talmudic Classic The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming by Lemony Snicket. Enjoy the dance interpretation and community teaching of the Chanukah story presented by Caryn Shebowich and Wendy Abram and then...dance the night away in our atrium! Oh and how could we forget? We'll have delicious food and drink for sale: Chinese dumplings to nosh on, beer, wine and a signature Chanukah (adult) beverage! This is a 21+ event.
