Laughter and Tears: Sarah Stein will present an hour of Jewish stories. Stories will include those from Chelm, the Jewish land of fools, a story about King Solomon, a story by Rabbi Nachman, a Hasidic Rabbi and two folktales. There will be Jewish music between the stories.

It will be a very exciting and memorable program and Sarah hopes you can attend.

About Sarah Stein: Sarah is a professional storyteller and founder of the Portland Storytellers Guild.

She was born in New York City in 1944. Many years later she worked as a Children’s Librarian in Portland and that is where she discovered her love for storytelling.

Sarah has been telling stories for over 40 years. She had told in Portland, Seattle, New York City and Germany, where she lived for several years. As a native New Yorker, she loves telling Jewish stories filled with irony and the special Jewish sense of humor.
