Women At The Center - Phenomena(L)

This is an event honoring five important Portland women through music.

The honorees are:
     Sarah Kwak, concertmaster of the Oregon Symphony; Misty Tompoles, founder and publisher of Artslandia Magazine; Dr. Susan Lindemulder, Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist at Doernbecher Hospital; Susan Stoltenberg, Executive Director of the YWCA; Alison Brown Caswell, sculptor of the University of Oregon bronze duck
Each honoree will be recognized by a piece of music performed for her.

The musicians are some of Portland’s most notable.
     Rebecca Kilgore, jazz vocalist; Suzanne Nance, soprano, CEO of All Classical Portland, with Cary Lewis, pianist; Nica’s Dream - all female jazz quartet; Daniel Barker, soprano; The Oregon Repertory Singers Youth Choir

We are pleased to have Scott Showalter, Oregon Symphony President, as the official presenter and Marcia Hocker, KBOO radio host, PDX Jazz Board of Directors as emcee. 

The dessert reception that follows provides an opportunity to meet the honorees and musicians.
