Author, Laura Nicole Diamond, a civil wrights lawyer and former Editor in-Chief of L.A. Family Magazine, and board member of PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) will speak about her latest book, Shelter Us.
Shelter Us is a novel about a lawyer- turned-stay-home-mom struggling to raise two young sons while grieving the death of an infant daughter. She sees a homeless mother and child and makes it her mission to save them. She must confront what she believes about God, death and the afterlife. The book suggests that Judaism;s power is not in providing firm answers but rather in guiding us how to act while we are alive.
