Holocaust memorials stand at the intersections of public art, history, and memory. What understandings and expectations do we bring to Holocaust memorials, and how are they challenged and sustained through design?

This class will commence in OJMCHE's auditorium, where participants will learn about concepts that underlie widely known Holocaust memorials throughout the world before heading to the Oregon Holocaust Memorial for an hour-long interpretive tour and conversation.
