Peace Pole Ceremony & Interfaith Torah Shavuot Exploration
"May we be disciples of Aaron the Kohen, loving peace and pursuing peace—ohev shalom v’rodef shalom.”
Tuesday, May 30
6:30pm - Peace Pole Planting Ceremony - We will prominently plant our peace pole in front of our synagogue. Inscribed with the word “peace” in eight languages, it gives concrete expression to Aaron’s vision and our public commitment to being a welcoming community.
7:30pm - 12am - Interfaith Shavuot - Esteemed scholars and clergy of different religions will give various talks about how the Torah centered principles of kindness, civility and caring; conversation & dialog and mutual responsibility find expression in their faiths and traditions.
