On the holidays, we pray that our words are acceptable to God.  But is there really a "right" way to pray?  Join me to delve into the Rosh HaShanah haftarah selection about Hannah and her prayer for fertility, which is upheld by the Rabbis as a model of prayer for all.  We'll look closely at the text, as well as finding our own spiritual touchpoints from this story.

We will use breath awareness practices and meditation tools to focus on themes of Rosh Hashanah and to enrich our sense of connection to self and all that is.  All abilities are wanted and welcome- no previous experience is necessary.  Sarah Rohr is a teacher of breathwork and a multi-disciplinary artist.  She facilitates practices that are inclusive of all ages and abilities.

What are the names and images of God that draw you closer or push you away?  The High Holiday liturgy is filled with different notions of God as King, Master, Comforter and Ruler.  Join in an open conversation as we look at some key prayers of the High Holiday liturgy and explore the vision of God they share and how it might fit or differ from our own individual notion of God.  No Hebrew or prayer experience necessary!
