A Purim Party for All Ages
With Potluck Plate-free Desserts
Remember last year's Purim spiels, one for older Havurahniks and another for the younger crowd? This year we're going to party together! So pull out your costumes and join us!
6:15 - 7:00 pm - We'll eat Hamantaschen and other potluck desserts (please bring something to share that can be eaten without a plate, fork or spoon) and we'll play games led by Havurah's middle school students. Wear a costume or, if you're running short of time, grab one of Havurah's costumes on your way into the game room/social hall.
7:00 pm - We'll all gather around the bima for a casual Purim spiel performed by our amazing Havurah spielers.
7:30 pm - Havurah member Abigail Webb will announce the winners of this year's Hamantaschen contest.
Yes, we're having a contest again this year, so if you want to enter your personal Hamantaschen, be sure to find Abigail Webb and her team of experienced Hamantaschen tasters near the dessert table when you arrive. The tasting team only needs one of your special Hamantaschen for the judging.
7:45 pm - The party will wrap up with music and a costume parade. Everyone has a role!
