Special Family Kabbalat Shabbat Service
this Friday at 4:45 pm!

New offering at P'nai Or of Portland!

Once a month, this January through April, we’ll begin our Friday night Shabbat gathering at 4:45 pm for a special family service, followed by candle lighting at 5:30.

On January 15, Tzuria Malpica and Micha’el Miller will bring in Shabbat with songs, storytelling, and engaging content for all ages, joined by Rabbi Hannah. At 5:30, we’ll light candles, bridging from the family service to our Kabbalat Shabbat led by Rabbi Hannah and Hazzan Baruch. About these family services: Tzuria and Micha’el create a welcoming atmosphere for families and friends to bring in Shabbat with songs, storytelling, and engaging content for all ages, backgrounds, and faiths. With the flexibility of enjoying services from your home (snuggled under a blanket), we encourage members and families to invite their loved ones to join us once a month, from January to April, for Family Kabbalat Shabbat with this dynamic duo.

Maggidah Tzuria Malpica & Micha'el Miller are Colorado-based Jewish educators, storytellers, and musicians.
