My father, of blessed memory, was born in 1935. Four years later his father unexpectedly died, leaving him with just his 32-year old mother and then 9-year old brother.

One of the often overlooked roles of the Jewish Federation is its efforts in both Salem and Washington, D.C. (in coordination with the Jewish Federations of North America) to seek funding for our agency services and to take an active role on policy issues.
