The Politics from Today -- Day 2
Today, our experience in Israel was focused on meeting with a journalist and government officials (along with some special visits I will detail tomorrow) to better understand what is happening in “Israel today.”
Can You Imagine -- Day 1
Michael Weiner, Federation's Chairman of the Board, and I arrived in Israel early yesterday evening. It was as if we had landed in Portland with dark and rainy skies.
Moving Past the Struggles
On Monday evening, over 225 community members came together to show their solidarity with the people of Israel.
Community Comes Together
For the past ten days we have been watching from afar the situation in Israel and Gaza. Even with a prospective ceasefire in progress, the situation in Israel and Gaza is still quite fluid, with rockets still falling and this morning's bus bombing in Tel Aviv.
