The Four Children
I hope you are enjoying your Passover holiday. It was very nice to have a seder together with my sister’s family while in Orlando. Passover is one of the most celebrated Jewish holidays with over 70% of American Jews participating in a seder.

I have always appreciated your openness to my sharing my thoughts with you, the Portland Jewish community. Well, early this week, my father, Myron Blattner (z”l), unexpectedly passed away.
International Mish Mash
This past week, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez died of a massive heart attack, while also suffering from an undisclosed form of cancer. Chavez was just weeks into his fourth term as president, 14 years overall.
